Pickled Vegetables and Chinese Scallion in Fish Sauce Recipe (Dưa Món)


When Lunar New Year is arrived, every single family in Vietnam share the same food which is the symbol of Tet Holiday. It is Pickled Vegetables and Chinese Scallion in Fish Sauce Recipe (Dưa Món) which comes from many stunning Vietnamese Salad Recipes. This dish is usually served with Bánh Chưng, Bánh Tét (2 Traditional Vietnamese Cakes) and other dishes. My mom told me that because many food in Tet Holiday contain too much grease, that why we should use this dish for helping our digestive systems.

Moreover, here is the first experiment on this dish and luckly it did not bad at all. My mom is really happy when tasting it. So today I really am excited to share one of amazing Vietnamese Salad Recipeslike this dish for your guys.

Ingredients:

2 carrot
½ green papaya
2 white radish
1 bowl fish sauce
200gr Chinese Scallion, peeled and cut off the root
1 bowl white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Purple onion, Chili
Glass jar, some bamboo sticks.

Process:

Step 1: Peel off the cover of green papaya + carrot + white radish + purple onion. Clean them with chili and chinese scallion. Next, soak them into cold water in 15 minutes.

Step 2: Then, slice them into small pieces (except chinese scallion). Mix 2 liters water with 1 teaspoon salt and soak all sliced vegetables through 1 night.
